Salted for Service
LWML Sunday 2012

The first Sunday in October is traditionally set aside for the celebration of LWML Sunday. Order materials have been sent to each LCMS congregation to assist with the worship for LWML Sunday.

Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, President of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, is the author of the 2012 LWML Sunday material, designed under the theme, "Salted for Service." The service focuses on the Scripture from Mark 9:50: Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another. President Harrison's office has advised that this selected reading is the one appointed for September 30, and that pastors/congregations might wish to reverse the appointed readings for September 30 and October 7.

To ensure availability and delivery, all LWML Sunday orders should be ordered before September 1, 2012.
