LUTHERAN WOMEN TO GATHER IN TAMPA

ST. LOUIS, MO - Women from around the nation will converge in Tampa, Florida on June 16-19 for the 31st biennial convention of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).

The convention attendees will focus on the theme, "Live Joyfully as Salt and Light" as expressed in Matthew 5:13-16. The women will participate in worship events, Salty Servant Events, and a Joyful Jaunt along Tampa Bay. The participants will hear from mission speakers from as far away as Africa and Kyrgyzstan, and delegates will have the opportunity to vote on mission grants which fund projects around the world.

The Mayor of Tampa, Pam Iorio, will address the convention along with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod President, Rev. Dr. Gerald Kieschnick. Award-winning author and lecturer Rev. Dr. Paul L.
