"Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided "Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me! And on and on we could sing praises to our God! I am humbled and honored to share this message about the 2003-2005 mite goal with you. As I reported to you on March 31 we had met and exceeded our mite goal by $1,016.52. I had also told you earlier that anything postmarked through March 31 would be counted for the 2003-2005 biennium goal. Well, God didn't just meet this goal with a little to spare, rather He opened the doors and let it flow-because of His faithfulness! The mite goal was exceeded by over $98,000.00! Final numbers are still being finalized, but please sing "Great is Thy Faithfulness" sometime today! Now it may look like the big push at the end was what caused this tremendous outpouring and blessing. I would suggest otherwise. I think it was from the very first gift recorded for the 2003-2005 biennium and every gift given after that. It was an overall accumulation of blessings, hearts of love giving to missions, prayers and gifts given to spread God's love throughout the world. We thank God together for His mercy and love that he has given to the LWML for years and continues to do so through his servants today! This is the day the Lord has made! Linda K. Prison Ministry The Gospel Outreach Committee has put together a packet of valuable information to help you start a prison ministry, personally, as a society, as a congregation or as a district. The packet contains a list of contacts of chaplains in your area that are able to help you through the hurdles of visiting and sharing your faith with the women in a prison close to where you live. The packet also has information to share with the women and where to find supplies that reach out to them where they are. Order from the LWML office 1-800-252-LWML # 11415 - $3.75 California-Nevada-Hawaii Convention President Kathie Lindquist and the CNH committees hosted an excellent one day convention under the theme "Here I am" with Vespers the night before. There were nearly 300 people in attendance. Next years' convention will be a full convention in the Sacramento area at which time it is expected that bylaws will be proposed to establish biennium conventions rather than the present annual conventions plan.
