HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT In the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Lutheran Women in Mission are showing their fervent desire to love and to help those in need. LWML President Linda Reiser has put out a call for help, and LWML members from all over the nation are answering that call by assembling kits for the thousands of people displaced by the storm. LWML has partnered with LCMS World Relief and Human Care to offer this vital way to help meet the immediate needs of hurricane survivors. In many cases, they have lost everything. These kits for babies, children, adult women and adult men will help hurricane victims begin to rebuild their lives by meeting some of their basic needs. With loving hearts and hands, LWML members have mobilized by the grace of God through the love for His Son to reach out to those who need it most. PLANTING SEEDS Mustard Seeds - an all-time LWML favorite - are back with a brand-new look and current topics for today's women. These pocket-sized outreach and devotional cards are available in two new packets, Living in Prayer (#40201, $2.00) and Living in Joy (#40202, $2.00). Each packet contains 28-32 cards that can be used for personal reflection as well as to plant the seed of God's love in the hearts of His children all over the world. THE LUTHERAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY LEAGUE The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), with a membership of over 250,000, is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
