LWML Unveils New Web Site

As we join "Together in Prayer Every Monday at Noon," this month our minds and hearts will revolve around the hustle and bustle of Christmas. In the midst of all our rushing let us remember and joyfully celebrate "the reason for the season," the birth of God's Son, Jesus Christ.

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" -- which means, "God with us."  Matthew 1:22-23 (NIV).

Heavenly Father, You are an awesome and holy God. Lord, thank You for the greatest gift of all, Your Son, Jesus Christ!  Thank you for the miracle of the virgin birth that fulfilled the wonder of the cross.  Lord, help me to keep the Spirit of Christmas alive in my heart and empower me to boldly share it with others in my daily walk with you. Lord, hear my prayer. Continue to bless our LWML leaders, all the members of the LWML, and the work of our missions and our missionaries. Enable the activities of the  LWML, as well as the work of our mites in funding grants, to bring glory to Your Name. Let all know the "reason for the season," the birth of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Bring Your peace and joy to the world. In His Name, Amen.

LWML Unveils New Web Site
Have you visited the LWML Web site lately? There's a brand new look and expanded features at www.lwml.org! Check out how easy it is to navigate -- plus the new search engine, which lets you find what you need in no time. Coming very soon is a shopping cart so you can order all those wonderful LWML products with just the click of a button. Right now, read up on the upcoming Sioux Falls convention, and after March 1, 2007, you can even register online. The LWML Web site is a resource for YOU, so drop us an e-mail and let us know what you think.

Good Searches Start with GoodSearch
If you haven't started using GoodSearch already, you're missing out! Where else can you search for things online and raise money for mites at the same time? GoodSearch is a search engine that earns money for the LWML each time you use it. The next time you use a search engine to find something on the Web, go to www.goodsearch.com and type LWML in the "I'm supporting" box. Tell your friends! In a year's time, LWML users have earned $2,500 for mites!

Making Plans for the New Year
The months are counting down until Lutheran Women in Mission gather to ROCK! and learn to Rest On Christ the King at the 2007 convention in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Mary Manz Simon, best-selling author and well-known speaker, is the Bible study leader, who will share with us her insight of God's Word.

Sioux Falls boasts an ideal setting to experience our theme. In beautiful Falls Park, the river cascades over rare, spectacular pink quartzite rock, which is the second-hardest rock next to diamonds. As a fantastic piece of God's creation, the stone illustrates perfectly how solid our ROCK is.

Mark June 21-­24, 2007, on your calendar now for the 32nd LWML Biennial Convention. Watch for more convention information and registration forms in the winter issue of the Lutheran Woman's Quarterly.
