Amount Received: $1,547,807.85
Total Mites Still Needed: $527,192.15

Praise to the Lord for the nearly $1,550,000 received so far, and we pray for His blessing upon the grant recipients still waiting for funding in order to complete their planned Gospel outreach. Please continue to fill your Mite Boxes and/or donate your gifts online at lwml.org/donate-online to fully fund all our 22 LWML Mission Grants by the end of the 2017–2019 biennium’s fiscal year of March 31, 2019.

LHF visits LWML office

Recently Lutheran Heritage Foundation (LHF) Development Associate Rev. Rod Benkendorf and Lutheran Heritage Foundation Executive Director Rev. Dr. Matthew Heise stopped by the new LWML Office to bring greetings and thanks for the LWML Mission Grant #6 and for their ongoing support. They presented LWML with copies of the Children's Garden of Bible Stories in Spanish and Farsi that this grant helped produce. LWML Will Participate in the 2019 LCMS Campus Ministry Conference

LWML Vice President of Special Focus Ministries Kaye Wolff and LWML Indiana District President Marge Gruber will represent LWML at the Campus Ministry Conference in Fort Wayne, Indiana, January 2–5, 2019. They will host an exhibit booth and have an opportunity to visit with nearly 425 college students and campus-ministry workers to tell them of LWML’s mission and ministry. 

 

LWML BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEET IN JANUARY 2019

The LWML Board of Directors will meet in St. Louis, Missouri on January 23–26 for conducting business and participating in Bible study, singing, worship, fellowship, offering Gifts from the Heart to benefit ministries at historic Trinity Lutheran in St. Louis, and shopping at the LWML Store. LWML’s new office location at Concordia Seminary, other sites on the seminary campus including worship at the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus, and the LCMS International Center will be highlights on a tour as well.

Lutheran Women in Mission — The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries, and to support global missions.

The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.
