LWML Sunday 2010

The first Sunday in October is traditionally set aside for the celebration of LWML Sunday. Order materials have been sent to each LCMS congregation to assist with the worship for LWML Sunday.  The authors of the 2010 LWML Sunday materials are Rev. Kenton Wendorf and Rev. Nathan Wendorf.

Rev. Kenton Wendorf is senior pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, Wisconsin where he has served since 2003. He also served for 22 years as pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Painesville, Ohio. Rev. Wendorf has just completed his term on the LCMS Board for Pastoral Education.

Rev, Nathan Wendorf has served as assistant pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church in McKinney Texas since receiving his M. Div. at Concordia Seminary in 2005. Rev. Wendorf and his wife, Kristine have one son, Jonathan.

Janice M. Wendorf, President of the LWML is married to Rev. Kenton Wendorf and Rev. Nathan Wendorf is one of their three children. They have two other children: Daniel, his wife Krista and their daughter Lydia; Naomi and her fiancé Josh Peterson.

To ensure availability and delivery, all LWML Sunday orders should be ordered before September 1, 2010.
