From my window ... I see a perfect fit

Do you remember stretch pants?

One-size-fits all?

Not always. One time my daughter and I, squeezed together into a tiny department store fitting room, collapsed in hysterics when I got stuck in one of those "one-size-fits-all" garments. It was just no good trying to make that garment fit my self.

We have the same problem when we try to assume roles that don't suit us.

In one sense, a role is a part an actor plays. The role may not be the same as the person playing the part. The role may not be a good fit.

Roles can be helpful in determining responsibilities but why allow roles to define us? Why not trust God to chart our course and fashion us for His purposes. After all, it was He who shaped every unique contour of our personality, gave us gifts He chose especially for us, and set us on a path of His design.

We are free. Role-free.

His special plans for us are always a perfect fit.

-Donna Streufert, Editor-in-Chief

We are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. We are all part of Christ's body, and each of us has different work to do (Ephesians, 2:10 & Romans 12:12a).
