"We decided to use some of the generous offering we received to send two of our summer campers to Lutheran grade school this year," Rev. Boos explains. "Another of our campers, Sanel Menkovic, attended a Lutheran grade school for three years and now openly says he believes in Jesus as his Savior. After this heart-warming experience, we could see the eternal value of sending Bosnian new Americans to Lutheran schools. "After much prayer and with the Holy Spirit's leading, we asked Anela and Anel Topcagic if they would be interested in attending a private Christian school. Anela had written a note to the camp counselors earlier in the summer thanking them for teaching her about heaven and Jesus. One day, while riding in the camp van, she exclaimed, 'I believe in Jesus!'
"What an excellent place for these children to learn of God's love in Jesus. At our camp they read the Bible for the first time. Now they will be reading it every day at school. They will go to chapel and have wonderful Christian teachers and friends. We pray that their experience at Green Park Lutheran School will impact not only Anela and Anel, but also their mother and other family members as well. Please keep them in your prayers." |
