YWR Turns Thirty
The Young Women's Representative (YWR) program celebrated
its 30th birthday at this convention as 74 energetic young women
met in special sessions. Seventy of them were attending their
first national convention. YWRs learned about LWML, walked in
the Joyful Jaunt, attended servant events and worshipped together.
The YWRs were officially introduced to the convention body Saturday
afternoon. When asked for the most surprising aspect of the convention,
one young woman replied, "I expected lots of older women;
I didn't expect them to be so young at heart." Welcome to
