from my window ... I see

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

 from the window

God's Word never fails to comfort.

In times of change and transition these words assure us all is well, especially when one thing ends and another begins.
This column, begun in Spring 2000, has lived for a season.

In these pages, Associate Editor Janice Kerper Brauer and I have challenged you, our readers, to think, ponder, feel with other women as we have explored together issues that impact women.

We have shared with you how things look from our "window."

We've written about

  • Diversity, citizenship, technology and the importance of the human touch,
  • About conflict and peace, women at work and the value of every person,
  • The love of God and the love of family,
  • Friendship and resolving differences,
  • Encouragement and leadership.

We've written about

  • Roles, priorities, tears and forgiveness,
  • About the passing of time and the inevitability of change,
  • Of mentors and people who make a difference
  • And the ongoing need for education.

As our terms of service on the Lutheran Woman's Quarterly come to an end and we move on to other areas of service, we hope the view from your window is broader, clearer, more focused.

Keep thinking, growing, learning, dear readers and see the world through Christ our Savior.
