Younge Women
Christian Faith*books
By Sue Hartley, North Dakota LWML
Life is busy and we can soon forget the obvious. However, what I
don’t ever want to forget is how richly God has blessed me! So I have incorporated those blessings — a loving family, the wonderful
parishes that my husband serves,
and even the many places and
adventures that Jesus has led me
through safely — into my photo
albums. But I don’t simply preserve
the photos; I also write the story
behind the photo and include Bible
verses in my albums, so that God’s
rich blessings can be remembered throughout the coming generations.
Ideas for Christian Faith*books
A faith*book is a scrapbook that contains photos, journaling, and
Scripture. It’s a great way to leave a record of your family’s faith journey
for future generations. Here are
ideas for starting one of your own:
- Create a prayer journal.
Include photos or sketches along with your
prayer requests. Leave the opposite
page blank to record His answer.
You will then have a permanent
testimony of God’s faithfulness.
- Make an identity album.
Make
this with a friend who is suffering
from a chronic illness. Include Scriptures
and photos that emphasize the
journey we travel through this life to
our eternal home in heaven.
- Put together an “ABC” Scripture album.
Choose Scripture
using letters of the alphabet as a
guide. This is a fun album to make
with children. [See related article
on pages 10-12.]
- Create a family history album.
Record the family’s stories — how
you met your spouse or where
your parents grew up and went to
school. Interview your family and ask them their favorite Bible verse
and why. Add favorite hymns.
