Lutheran Teachers in Sierra Leone–$84,000

The greatest natural resource of any country is its children. Sierra Leone is recovering from a long period of civil war. Hundreds of thousands have died. Families are displaced. Children are orphaned. Muslim peacekeepers, sensing that the shattered families of Sierra Leone are ripe for conversion, are proselytizing Islam with the full weight of their official positions.

Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sierra Leone needs help. The children need education and the Good News of the Gospel to prosper. The opportunity to supply teachers and an education for these children is there. A grant of $84,000 will provide 35 teachers in 13 schools touching the lives and proclaiming the forgiveness found in Jesus to over 4,000 children in Sierra Leone.
