No Little Places
Ray Stedman Women came from communities large and small. Women came from all regions of their districts. And come they did! Thousands of women attended the forty LWML district conventions during 2006. Lutheran Women in Mission do not represent little things when it comes to their hearts of service to love and to help. In fact, BIG things happened when thousands of women brought gifts from the heart, participated in servant activities, heard mission speakers, voted on mission grants, elected new officers, worshipped, prayed, and lifted their hearts and voices in song as they celebrated together the mission of LWML. Even if you were not able to attend your district
convention, the little things you do make a difference
in the BIG things we have done together as women
of mission. When you are daily in the Word and in
prayer, your little piece of LWML makes a HUGE
Listen to the report of your convention delegate. Consider starting a young mother’s or Friends Into Serving Him (Teen LWML) group in your congregation. Ask your delegate to share what she learned, heard, experienced at the district convention and continue to impact your little place with His love! There are no little places in LWML — each local group and each member is significant! Each little thing you do is important! Each little gift you give has made a difference. Consider this your invitation to join thousands of others coming from many little places to make a BIG impact in witness and mission in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, June 2007! |
