From the Editor ...
For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord; I sing
for joy at the works of your hands (Psalm 92:4).
A tooth? Imagine
that!
When a teetering-on-the-brink dental filling finally
gave loose after countless years, I experienced an unanticipated
reaction: the escape of nagging, low-grade pain throughout my
body, a pain that I had ascribed over the years to a host of
things — but
not that pesky tooth!
An astounding outcome. “Joy has come
to me!”
The assembly of this issue also brought with it
a pleasantly unexpected outcome: nearly every story in this issue
was written by or about a pastor’s wife — and two
writers happen to have been “my” pastors’ wives.
Over the years, joy has come to all of these women — not
by means of a trip to the dentist — but because of their
personal relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
May
their stories bring you joy … and may His joy surprise
you in unexpected ways.
