To all Church Workers

Whether you are new to the calling that the Lord has given you or have been involved in church work for years, we welcome you on behalf of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). This short video will introduce you to how the LWML connects with church workers.

We praise God for you and your dedication to share His love with those around you. The LWML website is full of devotional resources that have been through the LCMS doctrinal review process for you to use in your ministry.

Pastoral Counselor Corner

Welcome to your new position serving Christ’s Church through the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML), also known as Lutheran Women in Mission! We give thanks to God that you are willing to support the work of the LWML to “proclaim Christ, support missions, and equip women to honor God by serving others.” Having served as a counselor at the zone, district, and national levels, I cannot begin to describe the tremendous blessing it is to see how God is using the LWML to accomplish His will and purpose in the world.

You will no doubt hear again and again that the women of the LWML love to see how their mite offerings impact mission, to grow in their knowledge of our Lord and His salvation through study of the Word, and to rejoice in the fellowship that is shared among one another. It is humbling work, and yet it is filled with joy (and robed in purple)!

As you begin your service, we hope that this counselor section will offer you some assistance in the tasks you will be asked to perform. You will find resources that can be used as-is or can be adapted for your local context and tradition. Whether it is a Bible study, a prayer service, or an installation, you will find that the LWML has a wealth of resources for your use as you get acclimated to your position.

May the Lord bless you in your service to Him and to the LWML. Know that you are prayed for by the women and fellow pastoral counselors of this great organization, and you are appreciated for your time and dedication to the tasks ahead. May you find joy as you serve the Lord with gladness!

LWML is a vibrant organization with a mission of sharing Christ with the world by funding mission grants through mite offerings, sharing the Gospel with others through doctrinally reviewed and approved resources, and focusing on growing each woman’s relationship with her Lord and Savior. Look at “Who We Are” for more information on LWML.

A great way for LWML to let Church Workers know their value is to make them feel welcomed when arriving in your district, zone, or church. Church Workers also need to know they are appreciated after many years of service. There are many LWML prepared resources listed below that can help in both cases. You can start by sharing the Church Workers in Mission brochure (color or black and white). Thank you for all you are doing to be supportive and encouraging to God's Workers in the Church. TO GOD BE ALL GLORY AND PRAISE!
