The Convention Candle was lit by Elsie Rasmussen, Matthew Reiser, son of President Linda Reiser, carried the Processional Cross in the majestic parade. The LWML banner was carried by Leslie Larson, Many pastors joined in the opening worship service. Rev. Larry Miller, Senior Pastoral Counselor of the LWML, opened the service. The LWML choir led the worship in song.. ....directed by Jeanne Carter. And then this "rock" appeared. Worshipers numbering over 5,500 Rev. Carl Gnewuch, Pastoral Counselor, reads the lessons. Rev. Dr. Dean Nadasdy served as proclaimer and challenged the women to be 'dangerous" in his sermon titled: A Safe Place. A focal point of the Convention was the cross filled with rocks from every District surrounded by rocks from South Dakota . The Praise Group "One in Spirit" from Rev.
