The convention attendees begin to arrive by
planes, buses and cars. 

Is my suitcase really this heavy? 

At the registration line is where it all begins.

Gifts from the heart moving one step further toward their mission.

It takes many hands to keep the gifts moving.  

These quilts have taken hours of work combined with much love and prayers and now are ready to fulfill their mission.

It takes serious sawing to make garden sheds for
Habitat for Humanity. 

Lots of plywood goes into the sheds and handling it is a big job. 

LWML ladies have many skills. 

Marking Bibles for people in prison help them use the Word. 

 Sorting, packing all the Gifts from the Heart.

Sorting used clothing for Orphan Grain Train.

Heart shaped pillows are a huge blessing to
surgery patients. The women made 180.

Each stitch of these colorful quilts was made with love.

The quilts were stitched..

.and tied. 

120 Baptismal Banners are ready to be sent to
10 different American Indian Missions. 

LWML donors gave 124 pints of blood to the
Sioux Falls Blood Bank. 

The LWML Store was a "must visit" area at the convention.

Convention goers could complete their LWML
bear collections with the 2007 bear, Sue Falls .

The opening worship service was opened with
beautiful organ music by Rev. Howard Shane.

The Brass Ensemble led the convention with majesty and praise. 

The Convention Candle was lit by Elsie Rasmussen,
mother of President Linda Reiser.

Matthew Reiser, son of President Linda Reiser, carried the Processional Cross in the majestic parade.

The LWML banner was carried by Leslie Larson,
South Dakota District. 

Many pastors joined in the opening worship service. 

Rev. Larry Miller, Senior Pastoral Counselor of the LWML, opened the service.

The LWML choir led the worship in song..

....directed by Jeanne Carter.

And then this "rock" appeared.  

Worshipers numbering over 5,500
lifted their voices in praise. 

Rev. Carl Gnewuch, Pastoral Counselor, reads the lessons.

Rev. Dr. Dean Nadasdy served as proclaimer and challenged the women to be 'dangerous" in his sermon titled: A Safe Place.

A focal point of the Convention was the cross filled with rocks from every District surrounded by rocks from South Dakota .

The Praise Group "One in Spirit" from
Memorial Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls,
provided inspirational music.

Rev. Scott Sailer, pastor of Faith Lutheran, Sioux Falls , host congregation for the communion service served as the Celebrant. 

 "Take and eat..."

One in faith.. 

The convention is ready to Rest On Christ the King!
