God Has a Plan~~What’s Your Plan?

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

God’s plan for us is not always easy.  Sometimes we ignore Him.  Sometimes we are blind to the gifts or the messages or the people He sends our way.  Sometimes we simply lack the energy or enthusiasm to follow through.

There are many plans happening right now for those in LWML.  This year, district conventions are being planned, enjoyed, and remembered.  Did you help plan?  Did you enjoy?  Did you run into rough spots along the way?

The LCMS office of Disaster Response is planning, too.  Training sessions are being held for districts to enable them to teach congregations how best to respond when disasters strike.

People in the Southern District are planning as well.  Rebuilding after the hurricanes—rebuilding houses, churches, schools, relationships, and lives are all part of the plan.  Plans for volunteers who come to help today and in the future are all part of the action plan.

Plans may be short term or long, Joyous or arduous, fulfilling~~or maybe all of the above.

Recently I heard this question asked:  What spills out of you when you get bumped?  Is it a gentle beep and a friendly wave when a driver ignores the fact the light turned green?  Is it a smile and a cheerful word when you get on the elevator or walk down the aisle at the supermarket?  Is it a gentle reply to a weary child when you’ve had a day full of stress?  What spills out of you is your act of  Human Care.

To help you plan for district conventions and outreach opportunities, we have again posted information for those wishing to aid the Southern District as well as information on the Disaster Response kits.  These kits are now available from the LCMS Human Care/Disaster Response office in St. Louis.
