Aim for Your Next Target

During the summer months, setting targets for the future may or may not be uppermost on your minds. What are your targets for the summer months?

• Picnics
• Vacations
• Festivals     
• Back yard games
• Camping

Perhaps your list looks more like this:

• Moving a parent into assisted living/long-term care facility
• A home remodeling project
• Taking care of children or grandchildren
• Recuperating from an injury or illness or surgery
• Work!  Work!!  Work!!!

What’s your summer target for the Lord?  How are you aiming to please Him—whether at home or away—either physically or spiritually?

Heavenly Father, Here is my list of what I need to, or think I need to, accomplish this summer.  Help me accomplish all that is pleasing to you.  As I walk through my summer days, bless me with your guidance and lead me to seek you in all that I do or say.  Thank you for being my Leader by night and by day, my Lamp for uncharted territory, and my Rock on whom I rest and rely.  Amen.
