Greetings from the Leader Development Committee and welcome to the Leader Development link on the LWML Web site. We are a committee that works as a TEAM (Together Everyone Accomplishes More) with Jesus as our Leader. We serve with confidence knowing He will lead and guide us, as we hear in Psalm 31:3, "Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name, lead and guide me."

The TEAM Leader newsletter is available for you to print, use, and share with others.

One of our objectives is that women are competent and comfortable in leadership roles. What are you doing to help LWML women become more competent and comfortable in their leadership roles?

Please let us know if we can assist you in any way. We would also love for you to share ideas with us. E-mail our committee at depsr@lwml.org and put Leader Development in the subject box so the message can be forwarded to us.

LUTHERAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY LEAGUE
2007-2009 Biennium

Primary Targets

  • Personal Spiritual Living: Each woman's life is reflecting Jesus' love as she is nourished by the Word.
  • Servant Response: Each woman, guided by the Spirit, is actively investing herself in demonstrating Christ's love.
  • Partnering for diversity: Oneness in Christ is strengthened through intentionally teaming with our LCMS sisters of varied ethnic, cultural, generational and organizational backgrounds.
  • Supporting Leaders: The LWML identifies, encourages and informs leaders who confidently and competently fulfill their responsibilities.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Leader Development Committee is to support and encourage present and future leaders.

Committee Objectives

  1. Women are provided resources and opportunities to become competent and comfortable in leadership roles.

  2. Young women will grow and mature in the LWML as potential leaders.

Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are my God and Savior. Psalm 25:5a
