2021 November Eucharisteo Project
In the Fall 2020 issue of the Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) published an article and Scripture reading/writing resource for the days leading up to Thanksgiving. It was for a time of reflection and Eucharisteo (a Greek word meaning ’saying grace’ or ’giving thanks’). The full description and printable resource are available on the LWML website as the November Eucharisteo Project.
In the News section of the Fall 2021 issue of the Quarterly (page 26), Carol Schmidt of Williamsburg, Virginia, shared a photo and a story of how she used the verses of the resource to make Thanksgiving place cards. She mentions her friend, Sally Beck, who lettered the verses. Those verse cards are available as a free download on the Visual Faith™ Ministry website thanks-card-verse-project-by-sally-beck and are a nice companion resource. Consider decorating and stringing or clipping the cards on a ribbon to make a “Thanksgiving Garland.” Include them in Thanksgiving cards, or use them as place cards at your table.
