Gospel Outreach Faith Talk Exchange

The Gospel Outreach Committee wants to help you and the women of your societies share the Good News of Jesus Christ and your personal stories of how God has touched your lives.  As part of our commitment to the women of the LWML and the church-at-large, we will provide Faith-Sharing Tips to share through our Web site. Effective faith-sharing always begins with prayer; it begins with a relationship, and it begins with a conversation about the Good News of Jesus Christ. We hope to help you discover novel ways to pray with and for others, engage people in conversations about spiritual matters, and share your faith in Jesus Christ in a loving and compelling way.

We invite you to visit the Web site and try the tips. Pray that God will give you opportunities to use them as you go about your life and touch the lives of many people throughout your day. Try them, modify them to fit your life and personal style, and then give us some feedback. Tell us what worked, how God allowed you to touch the life of another person, and even about the impact it has had on your own life. FAITH TALK TIPS

• Timing is everything. Check the calendar before scheduling events. People are busy, so choose a time that is convenient for those you want to attend. Perhaps if you are wishing you could stay in bed late on a Saturday morning, that is where the potential attendees would like to be also – instead of at your outreach opportunity.

• Celebrate your freedom! Independence Day is a great opportunity to tell others how grateful you are for the freedoms we have in the United States of America and then add how Christ has given us freedom from sin and death.

• Put Bible verses in your e-mail signature or on your Web page or Facebook account. The people who are part of your online social networks just might read them.
