Two LWML Districts Met in Convention
September 23–25, 2016

LWML Chesapeake District

"Sow What?," from Hosea 10:12, served as the convention theme as LWML Chesapeake District President Edith Collis welcomed 156 enthusiastic attendees in Timonium, Maryland. Philip Jaseph, former Globally Engaged in Outreach Missionary and former Maryland resident, shared his mission experiences from his time in Kenya. Linda Gage, LWML Gift Planning Counselor, shared information about “Gifts of Love” and the ways to help individuals and couples transfer their God-given blessings to the ministries they care about through a Charitable Gift Plan.

LWML Northern Illinois District

The LWML Northern Illinois District met in convention under the theme "Rejoice, Rejoice," based on Philippians 4:4. Over 168 men and women joined together in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, as President Barbara Belanski welcomed 17 first timers and seven Young Woman Representatives (YWRs.) Keynote Speaker and Friday evening worship proclaimer Rev. Dr. Victor Belton provided inspiration and focus on the theme. Jan Struck brought her brand of light-hearted fun to the Saturday evening entertainment and humorous interruptions throughout the convention.
