Three LWML Districts Met in Convention April 15–17, 2016

LWML Oklahoma District

The LWML Oklahoma District met in convention under the theme, “We Are Glad!” based on Psalm 126:2-3. Over 260 men and women joined together in Tulsa, Oklahoma as President Susan Brunkow led delegates in adopting 18 mission grants for the new biennium and electing Dianna Just as new LWML Oklahoma District President. We rejoice with their vote to give $15,000 towards the LWML grants selected by delegates at Des Moines and celebrate 53 first timers and nine Young Women Representatives (YWRs) serving the Lord with gladness.

LWML California-Nevada-Hawaii

LWML California-Nevada-Hawaii President Lynnette Campbell presided over her first convention in Visalia, California. Under the theme, “Overcome…by Him,” 229 attendees, including five YWRs, gathered for worship, prayer, Bible study, and activities (including line dancing) which drew them closer to God and to each other.

LWML Kansas

The women of the LWML Kansas District assembled around the theme, “For Such a Time as This,” based on Ephesians 2:10. Held in Manhattan, Kansas, President Karen Morrison led the final convention of her term with 340 in attendance, including 15 YWRs. At the close of the convention, President Morrison passed the gavel to newly elected LWML District President Brenda Piester.
