2019 LWML CONVENTION
WELCOME LWML TO THE SOUTH!
The members of the 2019 LWML Convention Hosting Districts — Florida-Georgia, Gulf States, and Louisiana-Mississippi — are excited to have the opportunity and privilege of being hosts for the 38th Biennial LWML Convention in Mobile, Alabama.
Looking back, it was 1973 when the LWML last gathered in Mobile, Alabama, for convention. Our dress and hair styles were very different. No cell phones or email, only land lines and the US Postal Service. So here we are 46 years later, and we plan to bring you that same southern hospitality.
While you are here, we hope ya’ll are planning to participate in as many convention activities as possible including the Fifth Biennial Tee Up 4 Mites, Servant Connections, Gifts from the Heart, and the Mission in Motion Pledge Walk. There are awesome adventures available on pre- and post-convention tours. We have something for everyone.
We know that ya’ll will love being part of the Opening Worship Service, listening to the Mission Speakers, joining in the Bible Study, doing some singing, and going home full of praise after the Sending Service on Sunday morning. As we gather together in Mobile, Alabama, for the 38th Biennial LWML Convention, let us join our voices in prayer to our Lord Jesus that He guides and blesses us with His grace; all in “In Praise to the LORD!”
Ya’ll come and take in the experience.
Ya’ll come and drink in the opportunity.
Ya’ll come and soak up Mobile.
Ya’ll come, absorb, and enjoy the LWML.
We will see ya’ll in Mobile!

Visit with the six Past LWML Presidents in the LWML Convention Exhibit Hall, Jubilee Junction! Beginning on Thursday morning, you will have the pleasure of joining them in the Past LWML Presidents’ exhibit booth right inside Jubilee Junction’s entrance. This is an opportunity to renew friendships and reminisce about past joy-filled moments, meet inspirational leaders, and be encouraged to continue the work and mission of the LWML.
The theme of their booth is: Tell of His salvation day to day! Affirming each woman's relationship with her Triune God from generation to generation.
Bring along your newly purchased, from the LWML Store, history book Dedicated! for their autographs. Be sure to look in the Praise Express for specific hours when these six beautiful women in mission will be in the Past LWML Presidents’ booth.

LWML Sunday 2019
Faith Like a Mustard Seed
The first Sunday in October is traditionally set aside for the observation of LWML Sunday, but it may be celebrated at any time.
“Faith Like a Mustard Seed” is the theme for LWML Sunday 2019, based on Jesus’ words in Luke 17:6 that faith as small as a mustard seed can move a mulberry tree. We may long for a greater and more heroic faith, but what about the faith we have right now? LWML Sunday 2019 celebrates the power of a daily walk with Jesus to transform lives and multiply disciples. Little faith or great, there are mulberry trees to be moved!
2019 LWML Sunday materials, authored by Rev. Dr. Dean Nadasdy, will be available in July 2019. To ensure availability and delivery, all LWML Sunday orders should be placed before September 1, 2019.
All worship and devotional materials have received approval from LCMS Doctrinal Review. Visit www.lwml.org/lwml-sunday.
The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.
