do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).
In the last few months, we have experienced a pandemic. We have been troubled and anxious about many things: the health of aging parents, cancellation of celebrations, postponement of funerals, and personal health and financial concerns. The daily news is grim as the death toll rises.
But there is hope amid this devastation. This is the time for Women in Mission to shine and show our true faith and belief. First, pray for strength and direction and then move forward in confidence and assurance that our God is with us. We can bring a ray of hope and comfort by performing acts of kindness for those in need. We can radiate the joy of Jesus through caring for, and about, others. The LWML devotion, “God Raises Me Up,” provides hope for us to share with others during these troubling times.
We remember that our God is in total control and that we are not in this alone! To God be the glory!
