2019 LWML CONVENTION

2019 Convention logo: Purple world with gold cross and red heart stretching out around the world centered on the cross, with the inner point of the heart starting in the convention site of Mobile, Alabama.

Plans. We all make them; and we may spend a lot of time planning — what clothing to wear, what we will have for dinner, what we will do on vacation.

When you got up today, what plans did you have? Did you accomplish these plans? Did your plans have the results that you expected?

Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

The 2019 LWML Convention Host Committee has been planning, planning, and planning. We are still planning, and will most likely be planning up to the very last minute before the convention.

Philippians 4:6 says, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. The Host Committee is trying not to be anxious but we are. Instead of being anxious about our own plans, we would like to turn our anxiousness around to something else; to you.

The Host Committee is anxiously looking forward to having all of you:

  • Participate in the Tee Up 4 Mites Golf Outing, Mission in Motion Pledge Walk, and Blood Drive.
  • Show your serving spirit at the Servant Activities.
  • Participate in Worship Services and Bible studies.
  • Enjoy the Interest Luncheons and Mission Speakers.
  • Have the privilege of sharing this experience with your LWML sisters.

nullSo, help us not to be anxious, and be a part of the plan.
Plan to attend the convention and part of the LWML experience.
Plan to come, “In Praise to the LORD!” Ya’ll come!

Bunnie Koelsch
2019 LWML Host Committee Chairman

LUTHERAN WOMEN IN MISSION
Engaging, Encouraging, Equipping, and Enjoying

ENGAGE:

null

The Mailbox Member Program is an intentional way to reach out to women of your congregation who may not be currently participating in the established LWML activities. This program promotes the value of LWML and encourages participation in ways that fit into their lives and various vocations.

The Mailbox Member Program allows women of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to discover how God can work in their lives through the LWML. It is designed to help women stay connected even as they may not participate in every scheduled activity at their church. You, as a Lutheran Woman in Mission, have the exciting opportunity to reach out and encourage these sisters to participate in God’s work through LWML now, right where God has placed them.

This program may benefit a young mother who will find the Bible studies in the Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly relevant as she relaxes at the end of her day, and a housebound woman who will enjoy helping with a service activity if she is given the supplies. These women may not join your monthly gathering but, if we make them aware of opportunities and share our joy, they may participate in their own way.
