The 2021 Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) Convention may be over, but you can relive it in the July 22, 2021, issue of The Reporter, The Official Newspaper of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). The story by Cheryl Magness is great reading and includes an array of photos. Here is the link to the online story: https://reporter.lcms.org/2021/lwml-runs-the-race-to-lexington-and-beyond/. You may click on the link at the end of the article for additional photos and don’t miss the multimedia montage by managing photojournalist, Erik Lunsford. It’s at the end of the article and includes an audiotape of the convention body singing the Common Doxology. This will be out in print this week, with additional photos.

Praise the Lord! LWML Designates More Funds to Mission Grants

An announcement made at the LWML Convention in June shared that the LWML Board of Directors and Presidents Assembly approved that 90% of the 2021–2023 $2.15 million Mission Goal will, by the grace of God, go directly to fund mission grants. In the past, LWML designated 70% to mission grants and the remaining amount funded costs that included operations, training, and programming. This decision was accompanied by cheers of joy and thanksgiving to God as we are able to designate more mite offerings to sharing His love and mercy. As Lutheran women study His Word, give offerings, and serve others, we pray that our focus remains on Jesus. Supporters may continue to give to LWML with the confidence of knowing their gifts honor God and spread His message of salvation with the world.

A new LWML planner for 2021–2023, titled Faith Building Help for Groups is available now on the website. It includes over 50 new devotions, songs, Bible studies, and sketches to encourage your faith. As groups plan for gatherings and meetings for this fall, this can be an invaluable resource for any district, zone, or group to use.

Designed to reach all LCMS women, the materials in this manual will help each woman grow spiritually, joyfully join her LWML sisters in Christ, and spread the Word in service to Him. Download it here!
