Single-session Bible study on Relationship with God, John 15:1–4. 6 pages. Leader Guide available.

β€œI am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me (John 15:1–4).

Have you ever seen a lemon-lime tree or a lemon-orange tree? Grafting is where a branch from one tree is implanted into the trunk of another tree.Β

Like a branch, we were grafted into Jesus’ suffering and death, being united to Him. He alone became our source of love, life, and everything that is in life. And as we grow in the Word of God, He feeds us, strengthens us, and helps us bear fruit.
