Recipients Designated for LWML Convention Offerings    

ST. LOUIS, February 27, 2017 — The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) announced the four offering recipients for the 37th Biennial LWML Convention being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 22–25, 2017.

The four recipients selected by the LWML Board of Directors are:

  • Convention Offering #1 — LWML Mission Goal for the 2017–2019 Biennium
  • Convention Offering #2 — LWML Endowment Fund in honor of LWML’s 75th Anniversary
  • Convention Offering #3 — Bilingual Worker Priest serving on the United States/Mexico border (from Concordia Lutheran Church, Chula Vista, California)
  • Convention Offering #4 — God Cares About You (mission outreach in the International Zone from Christ Lutheran Church and School, Albuquerque, New Mexico)

The convention, centered around the theme, “Jesus Christ Above All,” is based on the Bible passage, Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name” (Philippians 2:9).
