District Convention Prayers

Please join in prayer for our Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) sisters-in-Christ from the Pacific Southwest District, the Rocky Mountain District, and the Atlantic District. These three districts were scheduled to gather in convention this week but, due to COVID-19, they have canceled their conventions. The Pacific Southwest District and the Rocky Mountain District will host a virtual mini-convention on June 6. The Atlantic District plans to meet together for a district celebration event in the fall.

Lord, we ask that You be with all these LWML districts as they find new and satisfying ways to join together in Bible study and servant activities with fellow sisters from their local, zone, and district groups at this time. We also pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide the delegates who have been voting via mail or electronically.

We offer a prayer of thanksgiving for Bonnie Karch as she completes her four years of service as the LWML Pacific Southwest District President. We also thank God for Debbie Yocky (Rocky Mountain) and Linda Guteres (Atlantic) as they complete their first biennium as LWML district presidents and look forward to their next two years of serving the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayers.

In His service, surrounded by HIS Grace,
Debbie Larson, LWML President

Your Donation Doubled through Matching Gifts

null

Thanks to generous gifts from three LWML donor families, all donations given through the 2020 HELP | LOVE | GROW Pledge Drive will be matched to a total up to $55,000. Please consider a gift today to support LWML’s Gifts of Love Ministry that, by God’s grace, will multiply mission work for generations to come.

The HELP | LOVE | GROW campaign donations go directly to LWML’s Gifts of Love ministry. Gifts of Love, the official planned giving ministry of LWML, supports two highly qualified counselors. Linda Gage and Carol von Soosten help people return God’s blessings and make an eternal impact through charitable planning. LWML women and their heirs discover how they can share their faith, minimize taxes, bless their family, and support God’s ongoing ministry through their estate.

Gifts can be made through the secure Giving tab on the LWML website or by a check mailed to the LWML office. More information about the HELP | LOVE | GROW campaign and how our counselors can assist you can also be found on the LWML website. Carol and Linda are available to speak at your local and zone events. Thank you for your continued partnership and faithful donations.

Mission Service Calendar Ideas Requested

undefined

The Gospel Outreach Committee is looking for ideas for a new mission service calendar. Currently, there are two available on the LWML website here. You may want to review the 2019 calendar for ideas. Servant activities should follow one of the LWML Primary Focus Areas: Nurturing Faith in Christ, Making Our Faith Meaningful, and Sharing Encouragement. Please tell us how you, your group, or others in your church have shared Jesus’ love in action by contacting the Vice President of Gospel Outreach here.
