LWML 2020 GivingTuesday: September to Remember

September to Remember: LWML GivingTuesday has a new date. Give to the Mission Goal on Sept. 15, 2020.

The goal of the September to Remember campaign is to spread the Gospel message by collecting money and raising awareness for LWML Mission Grants, which share the love of Jesus throughout the nations. Thanks to a generous family, all 2020 GivingTuesday: September to Remember donations will be matched, up to $10,000.

How to donate: On September 15, only, giving to this campaign will be enabled from the website — not before or after. But you may mail in your donation and label it for “September to Remember” or “GivingTuesday” and it will be matched. You may send your gifts by mail to:

KFUO Interviews LWML President

LWML President Debbie Larson visited with Andy Bates and Sarah Gulseth on KFUO’s The Coffee Hour, Friday, September 4. She shared what the women of this organization do and why serving the Lord is something they do joyfully. Debbie talked about planting seeds of faith, and shared how women of all ages are supported and equipped to share Jesus through the LWML. The interview has been archived and is available on the KFUO website at https://www.kfuo.org/2020/09/04/coffee-hour-090420-lwml-planting-seeds-of-the-gospel/.

LWML Interdepartmental Sessions Going Virtual

Bible studies, devotions, coloring pages, podcasts, Mite Challenge calendars, mission grant posters, Dear Lucy letters, LWML Mailbox member resources, bylaws tips, young women encouragement, multi-cultural resources, encouragement to pastors and church workers, Facebook posts, Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly, and new LWML products: What do all these items have in common? They are products and resources LWML committees have produced!

October is the month when the hardworking LWML committees would normally gather together for an Interdepartmental (ID) meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. The agenda for the 2020 Interdepartmental is to work on committee projects and prepare for the 2021 LWML Lexington Convention. However, like many in-person activities, ID this year will be completed through a series of large and small group Zoom meetings.

Please keep the ID team in your prayers as LWML committee members continue to serve the Lord with gladness!

Lutheran Women in Mission — The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries, and to support global missions.

The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.
