With fervent, sustained support of LCMS mission projects, Mission Central, located in Mapleton, Iowa, seeks to serve as an avenue for continued support for missionaries throughout the world to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This grant would provide for a variety of necessary missionary resources such as orientation and training, language training, transportation to and in the country of service and on furlough, various types of insurance, housing, medical care, utilities, and education of missionary children, to name a few.

nullWe can barely comprehend the magnificent presence of the Holy Spirit as this community is all baptized in the same service. These people can now grow in Christ together.
nullThese children WANT to learn, their young minds are thirsty for the knowledge that a missionary teacher can give them. They will also receive the unbounded blessings that come as they hear the Gospel in school daily.
 
nullImagine the powerful witness of this mature leader as she receives the salvation of her Savior through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.

WHEREAS, since the LWML at its founding in 1942 identified its purpose “to develop a greater mission consciousness among women and to gather funds for mission projects for which no adequate provision was made in the LCMS budget;” and
WHEREAS, Jesus has called our LCMS missionaries to go into all the world to proclaim Him and they are indeed required to provide all necessary resources to serve; and
WHEREAS, Lutheran women attending this convention, empowered by the Holy Spirit, through Word and Sacrament, to proclaim Jesus Christ above all, can assist this endeavor of our missionaries with mite dollars and prayers; and
WHEREAS, The blessed gift of money will be awarded with the greatest prayerful discretion by the knowledgeable LCMS Mission Central staff, with the recommendation and endorsement of the LCMS Office of International Mission, and given to the most current and urgent needs of our missionaries waiting to serve or already in the field; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the delegates gathered at the 2017 Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico, vote the sum of $100,000 to help fund Current Missionary Need.

nullPeople are lining up in droves to learn about Jesus, they are devoted and faithful. Their numbers are climbing daily. Who will we send to teach them?
nullIcy cold water doesn't stop this young man from taking the plunge for his new LORD and Savior. In this new mission field each and every baptism is special and filled with the hope of a future in Christ.
