Devotion on Christian Living, Spiritual Gifts, Service, 1 Peter 4:10-11. 2 pages.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen (1 Peter 4:10-11).
We all think that when someone gives us a gift it is for our own use, right? What if someday you receive a beautifully wrapped box and, upon opening it, you found a gift inside for you as well as another gift with someone else’s name on it? What would you do? Does that seem strange to you? Well, that is exactly how God’s gifts work for us. He gives gifts for giving.

Devotion on Baptism, Relationship with God, Acts 2:41, Titus 3:6-7. 2 pages.
So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls (Acts 2:41).
… whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:6-7).
“Make a splash” makes me think of Baptism. This might be the proper time to remember your own Baptism, or the Baptism of a special child in your life. The Sacrament of Holy Baptism forms and shapes the Christian life as each day the child of God repents, turns to Christ in faith, and lives in the newness of life by the Holy Spirit. It’s the heavenly washing, its benefits and powers, and the significance of being baptized with water that we remember every day.

Devotion on Relationship with Others, Love, Romans 5:8. 1 page.
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).
Have you ever thought of yourself as unlovable? Has your life produced times when the day’s events seemed to put you down and give you a sense of feeling unloved? Or unwanted? Have you ever encountered someone whose actions, words, or demeanor caused your emotions to boil? Have you felt like lashing out at them?

Devotion on Relationship with God, Love, Jeremiah 31:3. 1 page.
I love you with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3 NIV).
God loves each of us with an everlasting love that will never end or vanish. Earthly love, as we know, can come and go, but the Lord has given us the gift of His love. In the power of the Holy Spirit, we are always filled to overflowing with this love. It is not for us to keep to ourselves, but to share in all we do and say with those He places in our lives.

Devotion on Lent, God's Love, Relationship with God, 1 John 4:10. 1 page.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10 NIV).
Last month, the stores were filled with red and pink. … But now it’s March, and where have all the valentines gone? The sugar rush has long since faded, and even some relationships of February may not have lasted longer than the beautiful bouquets. For a holiday that boasts so much about love, it often falls short. Perhaps that is because the type of love we too often focus on is actually not love at all. What, then, is love?

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35).

Devotion on Christian Living, Joy, Service, Galatians 5:22. 1 page.
But the fruit of the Spirit is … joy (Galatians 5:22).
The list of things we think will bring us joy is endless. But the time, energy, and money spent on the pursuit of happiness are wasted because the material things we want today are not a source of everlasting joy.
