Devotion on Service, Christian Living, Leviticus 19:9-10. 2 pages.
"When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, neither shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. And you shall not strip your vineyard bare, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the Lord your God." (Leviticus 19:9–10).
Food banks touch the lives of people seeking assistance every day. They provide a basic necessity to those who are struggling due to many different circumstances. How does the Bible help us, as God's people, respond to this situation?

Devotion on Joyful, Service, Relationship with God, Psalm 100:2. 1 page.
Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing (Psalm 100:2)!
This invitation from the psalmist is something that often gets forgotten in the rush of our daily lives. When this happens we let our human feelings of guilt, frustration, obligation, and weariness deprive ourselves of the gladness God wants us to have and enjoy.

Devotion on Epiphany, Matthew 2:2b. 1 page.
For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him (Matthew 2:2b).
We know that the wise men followed a star for as long as two years from the time they first saw it in the east, a bright light that God had provided to guide them, which led them to our Savior and King.

Devotion on Discipleship, Witnessing, Joy in the Journey, Luke 15:8-10. 2 pages.
“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:8-10).
Like that woman, we also search for items of importance. But we can’t do it alone; we need a lamp or a searchlight to help us. Our Lord Jesus Christ is that searchlight. He continues to search us out, providing His Word to guide us through each day. He shows the way we must go, and He helps us when we stumble or lose our way. He searches for others who do not know Him and His salvation. In addition, He asks us to be His searchlights on earth.

Devotion on Relationship with God, Christian Living, Luke 22:19. 2 pages.
“This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19).
Many of us fear being forgotten once we are gone. The realization that nothing we do or leave behind is permanent can give us pause to think about our mortality. … Rather than putting faith in our earthly heritage, we are commanded by Christ to remember Him for our eternal heritage.

Devotion on Redemption, Titus 2:11-14. 1 page.
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self- controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all (Titus 2:11-14 NIV).
In our everyday lives we frequently assume the role of “redeemer,” whether it is exchanging a coupon for a cookie at a local bakery or eating a healthy salad to make up for eating that cookie. The practice of being a “redeemer” was also common in Old Testament culture. A man with the responsibility of kinsman redeemer could literally be a life-saver.

Devotion on Christian Living, Galatians 6:8b. 2 pages.
… the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life (Galatians 6:8b).
In one of the many parables Jesus shared with His disciples, He used the example of a farmer to teach a lesson. We know that the task of the farmer is to go out and plant his seeds. Once in the ground, the seeds begin to grow and produce a crop for him to harvest. The Lord provides the harvest.
Like the farmer in the parable, our task is to be about sowing, namely, sowing the seed of God’s Word. When we take time to share His Word with others, many more have the opportunity to come to faith in Him as their Savior and have the assurance of reaping eternal life in heaven.
